Academic Research
Academic research has always been an essential part of my artistic identity. Throughout my studies and professional career, I have continuously explored the relationship between voice, performance, education and artistic expression, believing that great teaching is built on the combination of scientific understanding, critical thinking and real stage experience.
Rather than separating research from artistic practice, I see them as complementary. Every research project has influenced the way I teach, coach and perform, while every performance continues to raise new questions that inspire further exploration.
My academic work focuses on understanding not only how the voice works, but also why performers communicate the way they do, how technique supports artistic freedom and how different disciplines can work together to create more expressive, healthy and authentic performers.

Master's Research
Master of Music in Musical Performance
Kingston University London
Dissertation: "Singing with Growl: Methods and Techniques"
My Master's research explored the production of extreme vocal techniques within contemporary singing, examining how distorted vocal qualities can be produced safely through an understanding of vocal physiology, contemporary pedagogy and artistic practice.
The project combined academic literature, performer interviews and practical experimentation, aiming to bridge the gap between scientific research and professional performance.
Integrated Master's Research
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Dissertation: "Vocal Techniques in Musical Theatre"
My undergraduate research focused on the voice within Musical Theatre, exploring the relationship between vocal technique, anatomy, performance and stylistic interpretation.
The research examined both classical and contemporary approaches to singing, while investigating how performers can develop healthy, expressive and versatile voices suitable for modern musical theatre.

Research Philosophy
Research is not something I completed when I graduated.
It is a continuous process.
I continue to study, attend seminars, observe performers, analyse new pedagogical approaches and expand my knowledge through teaching, performing and collaboration with artists from different disciplines.
My goal is to combine academic research with practical experience, creating a teaching approach that is both evidence informed and artistically inspiring.
I believe that when science, creativity and performance meet, singers become not only better technicians, but more complete artists.
